Welcome to Gallery Theater
Below, you'll find essential information for participating in a show at Gallery Theater. Please take a moment to read through it thoroughly. You’ll also find links to our release and emergency contact forms. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the forms as well.
GALLERY THEATER * CAST & CREW POLICIES
We ask that the cast and crew of each show treat Gallery Theater property and the entire Gallery community with care and respect. Here are some things to remember. (Any violations of these policies may result in your immediate dismissal from the production.)
SHARE THE SPACE
*You will be sharing the building with other events and productions. Please be considerate and keep noise to a minimum, especially if using the loft or lobby for rehearsal spaces.
* Please do not move, remove or use costumes, props, set pieces, scenery supplies, etc. that may be in use for another production.
KEEP IT CLEAN
* Each company member is expected to help keep the theater clean during rehearsals and ready for each performance. All auditorium and back stage areas are to be picked up and trash removed weekly and more frequently if necessary.
* Keep personal items out of the theater seats and the lobby. Gallery Theater is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
LEGALITIES
* Parking in the alley is prohibited by city codes.
*As required by fire codes, exit areas (including beneath the rolling fire door separating the stage from the shop) must be kept clear of set pieces, props, etc. at all times. This includes the hallway that leads to the alley.
*Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building or within 10 feet of doors and windows.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is only allowed at official Gallery functions where a licensed OLCC server is present.
*Illegal drug use will not be tolerated.
SAFETY & SECURITY
*Keep all outside doors secured at all times.
*Children are not to be left unattended in the theater or lobby.
*Turn off all lights when leaving.
*Only cast, crew and theater management are allowed backstage or in the technical booth.
CAST POLICIES
*Cast members in costume are not allowed in the lobby, courtyard or other public areas one hour prior to or during performances.
*Smoking in costume is strictly prohibited.
*Eating in costume is strongly discouraged
*Rented scripts and music must be returned to the box office by the final performance. Use pencil to mark scripts or music and erase marks before returning. You will be responsible for the cost incurred as a result of unreturned or damaged scripts or music.
* There is no reserved seating in the arena theater. Theater members are given priority seating. All other seating is based on a first come, first served basis. The only exception to this is for those who are wheelchair bound or unable to maneuver stairs. Cast and crew members are not allowed to hold seats for friends or family.
*Each cast member will receive (1) complimentary ticket to the show. A comp ticket list will be kept in the box office and individuals wishing to use their comp ticket should call into or stop by the box office to make a reservation. Having an available comp ticket (name on the list) in the box office does not guarantee a seat will be available for any given performance. It is strongly encouraged that patrons make a reservation to secure there is a seat on the day they wish to attend.
Complimentary Ticket Policy
Each cast member will receive (1) complimentary ticket voucher for the show. This voucher must be redeemed for a ticket to a specific performance. Individuals wishing to use their comp ticket should contact or visit the box office to make a reservation. Possession of a comp ticket voucher does not guarantee a seat for any given performance, so it is strongly recommended to make a reservation to secure a seat on the day you wish to attend.
Ways to Redeem Your Comp Ticket Voucher:
-
Arrange for the Ticket Yourself or Pass the Voucher to Another Patron: You may either redeem the voucher for your own ticket or give it to someone else to use.
-
Contact the Box Office: Call the box office at (503-472-2227) or visit in person to make a reservation.
-
Present the Voucher: The physical voucher must be collected by the box office before a ticket will be issued. Be sure to bring the voucher with you to complete the redemption.
Additional Tips about Comp Tickets:
-
Use Your Comp Ticket Early: Redeeming your comp ticket early in the show’s run helps build audience attendance and can drive ticket sales later. A reservation is the best way to ensure a seat on your chosen date.
-
Restrictions on House Buyouts: Comp tickets cannot be used for any performances that have been fully bought out by a group or organization.
