Everyone agrees that the six Herdman kids are the worst kids in the world. They lie,
they steal, they hit little kids, they talk dirty and even the girls smoke cigars. Sunday School is a safe haven
for other children because the Herdmans never go. But when the Herdmans show up one Sunday looking for chocolate
cake, they hear about the pageant and decide they want to take part. To the dismay of everyone, the Herdmans land
the main parts in the play. Although everyone expects a disaster, the Herdmans bring a fresh interpretation to the
Christmas story, a story they had never heard before.
